On November 21, Pistor Middle School hosted the Arts and Stars Festival for its families and community. Attendees were treated to performances by Tucson High's Mariachi Rayos, Pistor's band, and Pistor Mariachi Panteras. People were also able to participate in arts activities and students faced their teachers in a student vs. staff dodgeball game. The festival ended with a stargazing event.

Students captured photos on Pistor's campus during a recent visit from the Udall Foundation's Parks in Focus® program.

Miss Navajo Nation recently visited Pistor Middle School. She shared with students information about the culture, history and traditions of the Navajo people, and about her trip to Washington, D.C. to discuss water rights.

Superintendent Dr. Gabriel Trujillo visited Pistor Middle School on January 10, where he met with students and staff to witness Pistor's amazing learning environment. During his visit, Dr. Trujillo took a moment to recognize and honor Sonia Miller for her teaching and contributions to Pistor and awarded student Jesus Enriquez for embodying excellence as a standout individual at the school.
